Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by A1 Telekom Austria (A1 Hosting). When you visit the site, the hosting provider automatically stores technical access data (IP address, date, time, page requested, browser type) in server log files. This data serves technical security and is not merged with other sources.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest, unless they are needed longer to investigate a specific security incident. A1 Telekom Austria acts as our processor; the processing is governed by a contract under Art. 28 GDPR.

Fonts

This website uses fonts that are hosted locally on our own server. No data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.

Contacting us

If you contact us by email or through a form, the data you provide (name, email address, message) is stored for six months in order to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); where your enquiry is directed at a contract, it is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. This data is not passed on without your consent.

Orders (art book)

When you place an order we process the data required for it (name, address, email, quantity) in order to perform the contract of sale. The legal basis is performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); the subsequent retention rests on our legal obligation under § 132 of the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code and § 212 of the Austrian Commercial Code (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). The data is stored for the statutory retention period of seven years. To protect the order form against automated misuse we additionally store a pseudonymised connection identifier (a one-way checksum, not a plain-text IP address); it does not allow your IP address to be reconstructed.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address and optionally your name on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The subscription follows the double opt-in procedure: it only becomes active once you confirm it via the link sent to you by email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every newsletter or on the newsletter page; your data is then removed from the distribution list. To protect against automated subscriptions, a pseudonymised connection identifier (a one-way checksum) is stored.

Book presentation (invitation reservation)

If you reserve an invitation to the presentation of the art book through the form, we process the data you provide (name, email address, number of people) on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), in order to manage the guest list and to send you the invitation. The data is stored until after the event and deleted afterwards; you may withdraw your consent at any time by email. To protect against automated misuse we additionally store a pseudonymised connection identifier (a one-way checksum, not a plain-text IP address).

Cookies and analytics

This website uses no analytics or marketing cookies and no tracking services. A technically necessary session cookie is set only when you open a form page (order, work enquiry, newsletter, book presentation) and in the admin area; it serves solely to secure the forms and is deleted when you close your browser. Simply viewing the website sets no cookies at all.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).
