The Eyes of the Forest

Fascination in the trackless thicket: the two diagonal, blazing bands of light break open the oppressive weight of the dense green. They translate the feeling of sudden clarity, of focus, or of a visual way out. The composition describes the emotional suspension between the constricting closeness of the shadowy, ancient forest (black and dark green) and the simultaneous, compelling breakthrough of pure, vital life energy (light green) – a state of lurking, archaic tension.
