Ocelot
Pigments & acrylic resin on canvas · 100x80cm/1996
When the light of day fades between the lianas and dusk wraps the forest in deep velvet blue, the spirit of the undergrowth awakes. The ocelot moves through the thicket like liquid gold. Every step is pure silence, every movement a soundless promise to the night. Its coat — a masterpiece of shadows, spots and lines — merges so completely with the foliage that the forest itself might have woven this cat out of light and darkness.
