platypus
Pigments & acrylic resin on canvas · 80x60cm/1995
It carries the bill of a bird, yet it does not fly through the air of the cordilleras. It carries the fur of a land animal, yet it glides soundlessly through the sheltering water. It is the platypus — a living paradox, a forgotten poem of Pachamama that has endured in hiding.
