The child
Pigments & acrylic resin on canvas · 100x100cm /2010
A child knows no categories yet, no prejudice, no religious dogma — and is born into a world shaped by all of them. The radiant yellow makes that inner purity and that life visible. The cracked texture of the canvas and the small blood-red mark on the head, by contrast, stand for immediate vulnerability. They show how early the dogmatic and often violent adult world leaves its traces and scars on the unwritten soul of a child. “Where right becomes wrong, resistance becomes a duty!”
