hummingbird and the snake

The snake teaches us depth, roots, and the wisdom that comes only from the pain of letting go. The hummingbird gives us lightness, wings, and the courage to overcome the gravity of the everyday. Without the wisdom of the snake the hummingbird would have no hold; without the lightness of the hummingbird the snake would stay trapped in the dark.
