Leaf-toed Gecko
Pigments & acrylic resin on canvas · 3x40x40cm/2000
The leaf-toed geckos show exactly the characteristic features that give them their name; the tiny ball-fingered geckos are found there too. These small lizards, some 5 to 13 cm long, owe their name to the flattened, widened tips of their toes, shaped like tiny leaves. They live above all in the dry forests and coastal deserts along the Pacific — in Peru, Ecuador and Chile.
