The feathered serpent is the kiss between heaven and earth. On the ground her body creeps, heavy with the secrets of the world. Yet her back wears the dress of the sky: feathers as green as the deepest jungle. When the quetzal flies through the cloud forests and its long emerald tail glides in waves through the air, the myth comes alive. She reminds us that we too are both: rooted firmly in the dust of the earth, and ready all the same for flight to the stars.
