Guardian of the Earth

Out of dense layers of pure pigment and acrylic resin, a luminous white, circular primal being breaks through at the centre. With its radiating extensions it recalls a cosmic sun, or a protective primal cell. Surrounded by shadowy red silhouettes that call to mind early cave painting and the deep roots of humankind, the work radiates a solemn calm and a spiritual responsibility. “Guardian of the Earth” thus forms a powerful, self-sufficient counterpole: not a fleeting everyday mood but the visual valve for a deep, meditative bond with nature and with the origin of life.
